An Am Law 100 firm is looking for an attorney with experience in Labor and Employment to join their firm in Palo Alto, CA. Candidates should be able to commute onsite on a daily basis.
This is a full-time, salaried position (45-60 hours/week).
Candidates are expected to submit transcripts and a writing sample.
Significant experience litigating matters including wage/hour, termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, separation/severance agreements, non-compete agreements, offer letters/employment contracts, compensation matters, executive employment agreements, non-solicitation agreements, labor relations, and related matters.
Advise clients concerning related business transactions, claim liability, advisability, analyze risk, or legal rights and obligations.
Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses.
Familiarity with legal research software such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate complex business and legal concepts into clear and compelling text.
High EQ and the ability to perform well under pressure.
Strong negotiation skills, working to reconcile differences and find mutual wins, while demonstrating an ability to close deals.
Excellent attention to detail and are persistent and thorough in completing work tasks.
Adept at using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Strong judgment and decision making ability, considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
