Technology Transactions Attorney (6 month Secondment)

An Am Law 200 firm is looking for 2 mid-level or senior attorneys (5+ years of experience) to assist with a secondment full-time on-site for a client in a downtown Seattle office. The secondees would be providing coverage for two parental leaves on the client’s in-house team, in their digital and device business groups:

  • Role 1: The ideal attorney would support. the business responsible for the client’s group of innovative, consumer-facing products and devices.
  • Role 2: The ideal attorney would support the devices’ third-party skills and marketing businesses. This role would require particularly strong drafting and negotiating skills.

The secondments are expected to start in January and last through the end of June.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating inbound license agreements with large developers, media companies, etc.;
  • Providing product advice on new initiatives;
  • Reviewing marketing and promotional campaigns;
  • Coordinating with international attorneys
  • Participating in strategic planning meetings with the business team; and
  • Supervising a contracts manager.


  • Significant experience with technology agreements, and prior work for technology companies
  • 7+ years of transactional experience
  • Admitted to practice law in a US jurisdiction
  • We are seeking candidates who have the ability to learn quickly, take on significant responsibility, and work independently.
